Wind, air, justice, and mercy are all symbols of learning.
When he knocked Tezcatlipoca out of the sky, Zuetzalcoati, another son of Ometecuhtli/Omecihual, took over as Lord of the Sun. His name means “feathered dragon” or “feathered serpent.” A conch shell, sliced in half and worn on the chest, is his insignia. The wind is represented by the conch shell’s design. Hurricanes and tornadoes have tremendous winds that spiral around them. Rattlesnakes, dazzling quetzals, ravens, and macaws were all used to depict Quetzalcoatl. Ducks, spider monkeys, and the harpy eagle are also symbols for him. He drew the line between heaven and earth. After Tezcatlipoca destroyed the first civilisation, he constructed a new one. Tezcatlipoca transformed the gods into monkeys since this society did not honor them. Quetzalcoatl expelled all of the monkeys from the planet. He therefore abandoned his role as Sun God in order to repopulate the planet.
