Powerful, protective, and blessing symbol
Thor was the god of thunder and war. Thor had used his hammer whenever the Vikings heard thunder. Thor’s hammer has the power to destroy gods and to bring mountains crashing down. It was made by dwarves who said it would never fail and would always return to Thor when thrown. Mjolnir has the ability to resurrect things. Thor only needed to save the skin and bones of the goats he used to drive his chariot if they died, and he could wield Mjolnir to bring them back to life. Births, weddings, and funerals were all blessed with Mjolnir. Mjolnir was used to make amulets that Vikings used as storm protection.
