Pansy

Love, wisdom, and thoughtfulness are all represented by this symbol.

Flowers were used to express particular romantic feelings in Victorian England. If a bouquet of herbs was sent with a pansy, it suggested that the sender had romantic feelings for the recipient. They also represented people who were missing and wished to be with someone. The pansy was chosen as an emblem of the Freethinker’s Society, which was created in New York in 1915. Religious beliefs, expectations, societal restraints, and emotions were all represented by the pansy. Because its petals resemble hearts, pansies were supposed to have the ability to make people fall in love.
