Rat Symbol

The rat is a symbol of shyness and meanness, and is one of the symbolic animals associated with the first of the Twelve Terrestrial Branches. A rat is a symbol of fertility, reproduction, and wealth (since the species proliferate quickly and abundantly and always finding hoards to eat).

Opposition Symbol

What is the Opposition’s position? When planets are opposite each other on the Zodiac wheel, they are said to be in opposition. Because the energies are at odds, it’s a difficult or “hard” aspect. The pairing is known as polarity since they are 180 degrees apart. They are diametrically opposed.

Trine Symbol

The word “trine” usually refers to “threefold” or “triple.” It is defined as “the favorable astrological aspect of two celestial bodies 120 degrees apart” in astrology. “Trine” refers to flow in the chart, with planets at a harmonious angle of support.

Square Symbol

Squares are a type of astrological aspect that is recognized for being both action-oriented and hot-headed. As a result, squares indicate that there is conflict and tension between two planets in the same mode (cardinal, fixed, or mutable) and at 90 degrees to each other.

Quintile Symbol

A five-pointed star or pentagram is one of the earliest magical figures, formed by five quintiles arranged around a circle. Man is frequently represented with five-pointed figures. A single point upwards pentagram represents humanity’s higher aspirations: the composer or scientific genius.

Sextile Symbol

When planets are two signs apart or around 60 degrees apart, the Sextile is produced. It is a positive alignment of planets that creates new growth opportunities. The sextile brings comfort and helpful people to that part of the chart. The other good aspect, the trine, isn’t quite as strong.

Semisquare Symbol

An Octile, also known as a Semisquare, is a 45° angle that is 1/8 of the 360° ecliptic. A 2° orb is permissible. The symbol is drawn at a 60-90 degree angle; the original angle is 90 degrees, or 1/2 a square. An Octile is a significant minor feature. It denotes energizing or testing energy.
