The Minotaur is a mythical creature. The Minotaur, according to Greek mythology, was a creature that was half man and half bull. [1] It resided in the Labyrinth, a complex maze-like structure[2] created for King Minos of Crete and designed by architect Daedalus and his son Icarus, who were tasked with constructing it to house the Minotaur. The labyrinth is usually associated with the historical site of Knossos. The Minotaur was eventually killed by Theseus. “Minotaur” means “Bull of Minos” in Greek. In Crete, the bull was known as Asterion, the same name as Minos’ foster father.
