The Cernunnos

Cernunnos was a deity linked with stags, horned serpents, dogs, bulls, and rats in Gallo-Roman religion. He was represented with antlers, seated cross-legged, and was associated with stags, horned serpents, dogs, bulls, and rats.

He usually carries or wears a torc and carries a bag of cash (or grain) as well as a cornucopia. Over 50 instances have been discovered from this time period believed to be related with him, especially in the north-eastern portion of what was once known as Gaul by the ancient Romans. Cernunnos is also linked to the Wiccan Horned God, according to Wicca’s current religious tradition.
